He came to photography later in life, after making a living as a gun-slinging cowboy, among other less glamorous careers. He not only found his vision of the work, but indeed, his life's calling. Kristoffersen's unique eye and uncanny timing in "capturing the light" puts him among the greats of this art form.

Kristoffersen's work is varied and always interesting. He has covered many subjects including the land, the sea, people and the sky and is pure Americana.
