Rules for Entering the Photo of the Month
· The photos should be made in the 2 months preceding the monthly meeting. This is to keep photos current and to allow members to showcase their best recent works.
· Members may enter up to two photos each month per category.
· Themed Photo of the Month entries should illustrate the monthly theme.
· Photos can be printed any size from 4x6 prints to 8x10 prints. Please do not make larger than 8x10, for space concerns.
Photo of the Month Instructions
Size your Image appropriately
Image size should be 5x7" @ 200 dpi
Here's how to do it:
- Open your image in Photoshop (or other editing program)
- At the Menu Bar, go to Image>Image Size
- Make sure that Constrain Proportions and Resample Image boxes are checked
- Type the number 200 into the Resolution Box (make sure the Pull Down Box on the right reads: Pixels/Inch)
- Type in the number 7 in either Height or Width box depending which dimension of your image is larger (make sure the Pull Down Box on the right reads: Inches). The other dimension will automatically fill in.
- Click OK
Your image is now sized at (approx.) 7x5" at 200 dots per inch of resolution.
