The Brentwood Photography Group maintains a message board to facilitate communication between members. It is hosted by Yahoo!, and allows members to pose questions to each other and discuss aspects of photography. Participation is open to all members of the club.

Option 1 - Join the mailing list only

If you choose this method, you will not have access to all of the group's web features (Photos, Files, Links, Polls, Calendar.) In addition you will not have access to the My Groups page, where you can easily manage all of your memberships and email messages. You will be able to send and receive messages to the group.

To subscribe to a group's mailing list via email, send a blank email to:

You will receive a confirmation message. Just reply to this message and your subscription will be complete.

Option 2 - Full Access: Go to Yahoo! Groups

1. go to http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/brentwoodcamera/
2. at the top of the page, click on Sign In to login in. If you are not a registered member of Yahoo!, you will be presented with a Sign Up option. Click on it. You must be registered with Yahoo! to join the group.
3. after registering with Yahoo! or signing in, be sure you are back at http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/brentwoodcamera/
4. click on the Join This Group! button
5. Follow the steps provided. Set your membership preferences. When you join, you can choose a profile you'd like to display to the group, select the email address at which you'd like to receive group messages, choose how you receive group messages, and more. 
6. In the box "Comment to Owner", please make sure to either put your First & Last name or the email account that you registered with when you joined the Brentwood Photography Group. Otherwise we have no way to identify you and your request for access to the Yahoo Group will be denied.

Our group settings are as follows:

• To join, you must be a member of the Brentwood Photography Group.
• Messages are to be confined to discussions about photography.
• Personal attacks, soapboxing, and off-color remarks are not permitted.
• Email attachments are not permitted
• Members cannot hide their email address
• Each message should have the real name of the author at the bottom.
• When responding to messages, strip out all but a few lines of the previous message so readers do not have to re-read previous messages just to find your response.
