Tennessee Trails and Byways Exhibit

I'm pleased to announce another great exhibit opportunity for Brentwood Photography Group. Considering your favorable response to the Harpeth River Watershed (HRWA) Exhibit earlier this year and more specifically the events leading up to the exhibit, we have planned another similarly structured event. The HRWA exhibit was undertaken as a photographic project in that we allotted a seven-month period for you to visit and photograph the river and its tributaries. In support of the project, Outings Czar Jerry Park also organized events specifically dedicated to photographing the Watershed for the exhibit.

This time our subject is Tennessee Trails and Byways. Now, that in and of itself is a broad subject. So, to help you narrow it down just a little, we are asking that you make your photographs along designated Tennessee Trails and Byways starting with what is referred to as "The Old Tennessee Trail".

Specific information about the Trails and photographic opportunities can be found at http://tntrailsandbyways.com

The idea is to follow the trail and creatively photograph its' points of interest. As you will notice, there are 83 locations and about 15 events associated with the "Old Tennessee Trail" to get you started. More "Trails and Byways" will be identified and communicated to you soon, but we'll start with the "Old Tennessee".

The exhibit will be juried and winning photographs will be displayed at "Picture This Gallery" in Hermitage, TN.

"Picture This Gallery" hosts a reception each month in support of the art on display in their gallery. This well-attended monthly event features food and wine from local vendors and is quite popular in the community. A reception for our exhibit has been scheduled for November 18, 2010.

"Picture This Gallery" is also a quality custom frame shop. Winning photographers are strongly encouraged, but not required to have their photos matted and framed by "Picture This Gallery". Since they are hosting and bearing all the expense for our reception, it would seem appropriate to reciprocate by giving them some business so please consider using their services.
